Professor Jonathan Zhu from the City University of Hong Kong has been researching the way Chinese Internet users link to other websites. The vast majority (81%) of links are to other sites in the user's own province; 13% are to other provinces, and just 6% are to overseas sites (which means anything located outside the mainland) [see http://tinyurl.com/ypu2l2 ].
There are a million (or that a billion?) implications for foreign businesses and NGOs using the Chinese blogosphere...
